T.M. Selection: Astros runline. Houston has for sure turned things around. This isn't the same team over the first month of the season, as the Astros have won 9 of their last 11. The Angels took two of three at Texas over the weekend, but they're still just 12-13 on the road. But the bottom line here is that the talent discrepancy between starting pitchers right now makes the home side on the runline option the savvy call in my opinion. The visitors go with Reid Detmers (3-4, 5.19 ERA), while the home side counters with Framber Valdez (3-1, 2.95.) Everything points to a lop-sided destruction for the home side in my opinion. T.M.
